Do I need an active internet connection to use ZK Publishing software?
No. Every application in our catalog is engineered to be 100% offline. You only require an internet connection for the initial store download. All data formatting, compilation, calculations, and financial tracking occur strictly inside your local device hardware.
Do you collect or analyze my manuscripts or financial records?
Never. We have zero telemetry, no tracking SDKs, and no cloud servers syncing your files. Your manuscripts, PDFs, invoices, and royalty records remain stored exclusively on your local hard drive or whichever private backup location (external drive, NAS) you choose.
Are there any recurring subscription fees or hidden upgrade paywalls?
No. All our paid applications are permanent one-time purchases through the official Microsoft Store or Apple Mac App Store. You pay once and own the version perpetually across all your personal devices tied to your account.
How do I restore or backup my projects?
All our desktop apps use open or portable local formats (such as standard `.book` bundles, local SQLite databases, or exportable JSON/CSV archives). You can simply copy your files to any external drive, USB stick, or your personal encrypted backup.
